The Weeknd & Daft Punk's 'Starboy' Debuts at No. 1 on Billboard + Twitter Top Tracks Chart

The Weeknd Unveils Second New 'Starboy' Single, the Frantic 'False Alarm': Listen

For the second single from his upcoming new album, The Weeknd dips his toe into dance-punk -- yes, really.
Just days after releasing the initial title track and video for Starboy, the singer revealed "False Alarm" late Thursday night (Sept. 29).

The "Starboy" video shows The Weeknd killing his former self, perhaps signaling he is reinventing himself with this new album.
While the groovy, electro Daft Punk-assisted first single is fairly classic Weeknd, "False Alarm" adds a new twist as he shrieks into a chorus punctuated by pounding drums.

The song is evidence of a fresh direction and is rousing fans' curiosity about what other surprises the 18-song album might bring when it drops Nov. 25.
This Saturday (Oct. 1), The Weeknd is scheduled to perform on the season premiere of Saturday Night Live.
